Conventional approach in “Lowering Gold Purity” involves a series of multiple confusing steps. First, multiplying stock on hand to its present purity, then multiplying the same by its desired karat, then the difference between the two and finally dividing the difference by the target purity.

Equally, if not more confusing is Raising Karat Gold Purity. A jeweler needs to multiply the stock by it purity, then the same by its target purity then the difference between the two, then the difference between pure and target and then another division involving the latter two steps....Whew!! THERE MUST BE AN EASIER WAY!!!!

With “iAlloy”, that can all be accomplished in TWO (2) EASY STEPS; Just enter your stocks purity in 1/10 of a karat, if needed and then enter your stock weight in grams. Hit the calculate button and Viola!, iAlloy gives you the amount of alloy or fine gold needed, in gram weight. Easy! This gives you more time to “Take Care of Business and Be Productive”!

With the availability of an “Electronic Gold Metal Tester”, outputting sensitivity readings in 1/10th of a karat, a jeweler needs a tool for calculating an accurate amount of Gold Alloy or Fine Gold to mix with their stock before stamping purity markings i.e., “14K or 18K”. Needless to say, serious legal consequences can result if a jewelry item is proven below the standard as marked or stamped. “iAlloy” can calculate the right amount of “Fine Gold or Gold Alloy” needed before the final melting is done. “iAlloy” is sensitive enough to calculate any gold stock or purity in 1/10 of a karat and output gram weight in the thousandths.
